On the second day of the 1st International Communication Days Digital Transformation and New Media Symposium at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, a session on the theme of "Digital Transformation" was held in the Faculty of Communication.

The session, held in classroom Z-115, was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atacan Şimşek.
The first speakers, graduate students Seher Kayar and Yiğit Açıkgöz, presented their paper titled "The Press of Diyarbakır in the Ottoman Period: The First Newspapers and Publishing." The presentation addressed the first local publications in Diyarbakır and the press activities of the period.
Following this, Mert Can Vural gave a presentation titled "The Use of Manipulation in Media: An Examination of the Disinformation Bulletin of the Presidency of Communications of the Republic of Turkey." Lecturer Dr. Ezgi Açıkalın Avcı then offered assessments on digital visibility, algorithms, and platform capitalism. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Canay Umunç also addressed the discursive construction of media and reality through the Epstein case.
In the final presentation of the session, graduate student Havva Öztürk evaluated disinformation during wartime using examples from the US, Iran, and Israel. At the end of the program, the Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Emre Tandırlı, presented the speakers with certificates of participation, concluding the session.
