The main theme of the International Communication Days, organized by Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Faculty of Communication specifically for the 100th Anniversary of our Republic, is Digital Transformation and New Media. The symposium, which will also feature national and international expert invited speakers, will be held face-to-face and online on May 13-14-15, 2024.

When viewed on a global scale, it has become possible to access endless data that will definitely provide great benefits to humanity in the almost endless content world that has emerged in new media channels. However, in this virtual world that is completely free, it has unfortunately become possible to come across some unethical actions based on disinformation, that is, lies and slander, by some evil groups that have ulterior motives against these good intentions.
Using digital communication channels as a tool that will always take our humanity to brighter, more prosperous and more advanced points, using these constantly self-developing technologies in a brotherly way, in a way that will strengthen unity and solidarity, is of great importance to reach peaceful and bright futures.
Indeed, civilizations that are fair, democratic, inclusive, and that value cultural and social interaction in every field have continued and will continue to strengthen their ancient existence today as they did yesterday.
The 1st International Digital Transformation and New Media Symposium, which will last for three days, will host invited speakers from important scientists who are experts in communication sciences, new media, digitalization and design at national and international levels. In addition, during the three-day Symposium, participants from many universities in our country and the Foster Homeland, as well as participants from Malaysia, the Faculty of Communication of Ionian University in Greece and Islam Shahid Beheshti University in Iran, who have important studies, will make presentations within the scope of 15 Sessions within the framework of different themes.
After the symposium, the process for the abstract book and full-text proceedings book of the presentations made at the symposium will be initiated, ISBN numbers have been obtained for both publications.
