Prof. Dr. Gül Rengin Küçükerdoğan was born in Istanbul in 1966. She completed her undergraduate education in the Department of French Language and Language Teaching at Istanbul University's Faculty of Letters. She received her master's degree from the same university in 1993 and her doctorate from the Public Relations and Publicity Program of the Institute of Social Sciences in 1999. She began her academic career as a lecturer in 1990, became an associate professor in 2003, and a full professor in 2009, continuing to teach communication and visual communication. She has served in the Visual Communication Design Department of Hasan Kalyoncu University's Faculty of Communication since 2018. She became faculty dean in 2020, vice rector in 2022, and acting rector since July 1, 2025. Her areas of expertise include semiotics, advertising communications, brand identity, visual culture, media literacy, and intercultural communication. He has authored numerous books, articles, and papers at national and international levels. Küçükerdoğan, who has always believed in the power of communication, academic excellence, and developing the potential of young people, continues to provide visionary, high-quality, and innovative academic services at Hasan Kalyoncu University.
