Prof. Dr. Thomas A. Bauer was born in 1945 in Almanya'nın Diessen/Ammersee kentinde. In the first stage of his academic journey, he studied philosophy and theology at German universities and completed his studies in these fields in 1971. Later, turning his academic interests to the field of communication, he conducted studies in the fields of Communication and Media Sciences and Cultural Sociology at the University of Austria Salzburg and completed his doctorate in philosophy in 1973. His disciplinary approach, critical perspective and his contributions to communication education in the academic field are recognized as important references.
