On the 2nd day of the Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University (BAİBÜ) 1st International Communication Days Digital Transformation and New Media Symposium, a session with digital transformation was held at the Faculty of Communication.

The BAİBÜ 1st International Communication Days Digital Transformation and New Media Symposium was held. On the 2nd day of the symposium, the 1st session with digital transformation was held at the Faculty of Communication. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Akar was the session chair at the session held in Classroom Z-127.
Res. Asst. Dr. İsmail Kaplan, who participated as a guest, talked about the channels opened on social media in his presentation titled "Digital Transformation in News Media: News Producers Using WhatsApp Channels". He touched on how WhatsApp channels are used in journalism. After touching on how media organizations transitioned from traditional media to today's media, he shared his work on the five most-clicked news sites with the audience.

In the ongoing session, PhD Student Bilal Erkan Değer began his presentation titled "The Offline World Effects of Online Games". After discussing the development of digital games and their economic income, he touched on the motivations of gamers to play games. He discussed whether these players use the gains in the online world in the outside world. He concluded his presentation after presenting the research he conducted with the university e-sports team to the audience.

Finally, Res. Asst. Tuğçe İyigüngör began her presentation titled "New Media and Cultural Diplomacy: Yunus Emre Institute's Cultural Diplomacy Activities in Egypt and Hungary with New Media". After first mentioning diplomacy, he talked about how cultural resources and achievements can be promoted abroad and cultural transfer can be facilitated through new media in cultural diplomacy.
At the end of the session, Dean of the Faculty of Communication Emre Tandırlı presented the participants with their certificates and concluded the session.
